July 4, 2026 Mountain air & Afterglow
This Fourth of July, we made our annual escape to the cool, pine-scented air of Big Bear Lake. It was the perfect, necessary pause—a chance to pull ourselves away from the whirlwind of final preparations for our upcoming launch and simply breathe in the mountain life that has served as so much inspiration for our work.
Our days were spent wandering through the local heartbeat of the village. We found ourselves constantly drawn to the creative corners that define this community:
Artisans Etc.: A wonderful spot to appreciate local craftsmanship and curated handmade goods.
Wild Coyote Gallery: We loved browsing their collection; it’s a great window into the local artistic soul.
Mystic Moto: Always a fascinating stop to check out their unique gear and aesthetic.
Candle Dreams: A sensory delight—we found some incredible scents that capture the mountain atmosphere perfectly.
Earth Elements: We spent time exploring their collection, which felt perfectly aligned with the natural textures we love.
Of course, the trip wouldn't have been complete without a true taste of what the mountain has to offer. We indulged in the diverse flavors of the area:
Himalayan Restaurant: Provided a delicious, authentic meal that was a highlight of our dining experience.
De La Nonna Big Bear: Brought such a warm, comforting vibe to our evening.
572 Social Kitchen & Lounge: A perfect spot for great atmosphere and even better company.
Big Bear Lake Brewing Company: We enjoyed their selection and the lively, welcoming energy of the brewery.
As night settled over the lake and the sky began to light up for the fireworks display, I found my focus drifting away from the spectacle in the sky. I spent the evening watching my children instead. There is no show quite as brilliant as the look of pure, unadulterated wonder on their faces—the way their eyes widened and their laughter carried over the water was the true highlight of the weekend. It was a gentle reminder that while we work hard to build a future for them, the most important moments are the ones where we are simply present to witness their joy.
